Dear Foundry Church and Friends,

Over the past few weeks we have held open meetings to discuss the future of The Foundry.  Some things that were important were having an opportunity to worship close to Corona de Tucson and maintaining ministry and small groups in our community.  After weeks of prayer and looking at all options we feel like God is leading The Foundry to merge with Grace Fellowship of Vail beginning December 4, 2011.

Grace Fellowship is a church very similar to The Foundry in worship style, emphasis on relationships, philosophy of ministry, and more.  I have known their pastor, Steve Chamblee, since we were in college together in Alabama.  Grace Fellowship meets at Old Vail Middle School on Sunday mornings for worship and does small groups in homes throughout Vail and Corona de Tucson.  Some of you have already gotten to know people from Grace as we have partnered with them over the years to do Vacation Bible School, community outreach events like “Crossover”, and prayer walks.

I think this merger with Grace will be a natural fit for all involved and will be a huge win for God’s kingdom.  I am very thankful that God has partnered us with Grace over the years and that He is bringing our two churches together at this time.  If you’d like to find out more about Grace Fellowship you can check them out here.

One of my hopes for The Foundry is that you would all be unified in a decision and would move forward together as a church.  With that in mind I’d like to encourage you all to attend Grace this Sunday and each Sunday in December as you seek God’s will for your life and your family.  I think you’ll find it to be a warm and friendly place full of people who Love God and Love Each Other!

In Christ,

Ashley Evans
