Corona de Tucson is a community on the South East outskirts of Tucson that recently experienced tremendous growth.  In 2000 Corona had about 800 residents but recent growth has seen that number swell to over 4000.  In July of 2007 we moved from the cool green mountains of North Carolina to begin the process of starting a brand new church for Corona.  God has blessed us with great success in this first year and we are excited to be so close to our launch date of August 3, 2008.

We want to thank our sending church, Biltmore Baptist, for their very generous support financially as well as through prayers and the mission team that came.  We have also been blessed to have 22nd Street Baptist as our local sponsor church, Common Ground in Sahuarita and The Journey in Tucson as partner churches.  We praise God for our family and friends who also lift us up in prayer and have blessed us with their gifts.

There is still much to do and we continue to rely on your prayers and support.  If God is leading you to support this new church start you can help.

• Commit to Pray.  We firmly believe that our success or failure is directly dependent upon the prayers of the saints.  So many amazing things have happened in this first year that we can only attribute them to God and His answers to prayers. Shoot us an email and we'll make sure you stay in the loop and know what to pray for.
• Come and Stay.  We'd love to host a mission team from your church or help you explore the possibility of coming out on a long or short term mission experience.  We've had mission teams come for a week and friends come by for the day as they passed through town.  Whatever God is leading you to do we can find a way to plug you in.
• Help us Pay.  Yes, we just asked for money.  Starting a church costs money* and most new believers aren't big tithers.  If God is leading you to help us in this way that's awesome.  If not, that's cool too.  God owns everything and He'll send us what we need when we need it.  If you do feel led to give, you can make checks payable to "The Foundry".
